Equipped with the Sony® IMX183 rolling shutter CMOS sensor, a resolution of 20 megapixels, and using back illumination technology, these new cameras perform in a wide variety of imaging applications with low or changing light conditions.

ABOUT SONY ROLLING SHUTTER CMOS CAMERA TECHNOLOGY
Sony rolling shutter CMOS sensors provide high sensitivity imaging performance. Excellent color reproduction, dynamic range, and low noise can be achieved with Sony’s back illuminated sensor technology. By applying the photo sensitive surface on top of the metal wiring instead of the normal layout where light is blocked around the photodiode, a greater amount of light can reach the sensor. This type of system increases the sensitivity of the camera by having an all-around higher level of light when imaging.
