LUMENERA CORPORATION INTRODUCES UNRIVALED LE165 NETWORK CAMERA WITH TRUE DAY/NIGHT FUNCTIONALITY

Ottawa, Ontario, Canada – June 27, 2005 – Lumenera Corporation, a leading developer and manufacturer of high performance digital cameras and imaging solutions, today introduced the latest version of its security network camera series offering true day/night functionality. The Le series of innovative network cameras deliver up to 16 times the resolution of standard analog CCTV cameras, and are designed for high-end security applications. The Le165 series is based on Sony ExView HAD, 1.4 megapixel color or monochrome CCD sensor providing output of 15 fps at full (1392x1040) resolution. ExView HAD CCD provides for low light sensitivity below 0.1 lux with extended NIR capabilities. Compressed MJPEG images in live-streaming video and still-image capture are provided across a standard 10/100BaseT network connection. The Le165 is a fully software configurable camera via standard Internet browser or API level interface. Includes support for features such as on-board memory, privacy zones, RS-232 control or PTZ, alarm I/O, motion detection and dc-iris.

True day/night functionality provides the ability for the network camera to capture high quality images under all lighting conditions. An automated mechanical sliding window removes the IR-filter to provide perfect color in daylight and optimal performance under low light conditions. Removing the IR-filter is an ideal solution for use with NIR illuminator in (ambient) 0 lux environments.
