LUMENERA CORPORATION INTRODUCES TRUE DAY/NIGHT FUNCTIONALITY FOR ITS 1, 2 AND 3 MEGAPIXEL NETWORK CAMERAS

Ottawa , Ontario , Canada - March 29, 2005 - Lumenera Corporation, a leading developer and manufacturer of high performance digital cameras and imaging solutions, today announced that their megapixel camera models now offer true day/ night functionality. The Le series of innovative network cameras deliver up to 16 times the resolution of standard analog CCTV cameras, and are designed for high-end security applications.

True day/night functionality provides the ability for the network camera to capture high quality images under all lighting conditions.  An automated mechanical sliding window removes the IR-filter to provide perfect color in daylight and optimal performance under low light conditions.  Removing the IR-filter is an ideal solution for use with NIR illuminator in (ambient) 0 lux environments.

The Le series of network cameras are fully software configurable cameras via standard Internet browser or API level interface.  Compressed MJPEG images in live-streaming video and still-image capture are provided across a standard 10/100BaseT network connection. Lumenera network cameras include support for advanced features such as programmable day/night settings, on-board memory, privacy zones, RS-232 control or PTZ, alarm I/O, motion detection and dc-iris.

Lumenera is pleased to announce that the true day/night functionality module, for the Le network cameras, is currently shipping. The true day/night module is currently available, as an optional camera feature, with an MSRP increase of $100.
