Ottawa, Ontario, Canada -October 13,2003-Lumenera Corporation, a leading developer and manufacturer of high performance digital cameras and imaging solutions, today announced the latest release of its Infinity line of camera models aimed at the scientific market. The Infinity X is a high-resolution microscopy camera that incorporates the patented DeltaVu pixel shifting technology by DeltaPix. Variable resolutions up to 20 megapixels allow the user to take full advantage of their microscope optics in capturing the sharpest image conceivable for printing and publication purposes.

The Infinity X offers 21-megapixel resolution, which is achieved through shifting a native 1280x1024 pixel array, based on a 1/2"color sensor. The Infinity X offers flexibility to choose between 1.3 through to 21-million pixel resolution to take full advantage of microscope optics in capturing precise detail. DeltaVu technology greatly increases image resolution and color accuracy for clinical, life sciences, materials sciences, and educational professionals where high-resolution images are essential. Live video preview provides for real-time focus. Infinity X auto-exposure and auto-white-balance efficiently captures your optimal image. Software control provides exposures from 10us through 2 seconds.

An intuitive user application provides camera control while full integration to popular third-party imaging applications is available through our TWAIN drivers. The high speed USB 2.0 interface eliminates a framegrabber and facilitates ease of installation on both laptop and desktop computers.
