Ottawa, Ontario – July 10, 2013 – Lumenera Corporation, a leading manufacturer and developer of high-performance digital cameras and custom imaging solutions for industrial, scientific, surveillance and astronomy markets, together with NorPix, developer of high-speed digital video recording software, announced that their USB 3.0 camera series is now supported by NorPix’s flagship software, StreamPix 5.
Lumenera chose to integrate the StreamPix 5 software with their cameras, as it is one of the most comprehensive and easy to use digital recording software available on the market. The software maximizes the high-speed, high-resolution features of Lumenera’s new USB 3.0 camera series, the Lt225 and Lt425. Both families of cameras were designed for high-speed video streaming and image capture by combining high-performance sensors from CMOSIS, with the latest USB 3.0 technology to ensure fast image delivery, even at their largest resolution.
The StreamPix5 software enables users to acquire uncompressed images and stream real-time digital video from Lumenera cameras direct to a PC memory or hard disk. StreamPix5 can support video streaming at the camera’s full frame rates, without dropping frames. Which in the case of Lumenera’s Lt series can translate up to 170 frames per second at full resolution. Whether users are performing desktop imaging analysis, capturing high speed images, or streaming real-time video, the integration of StreamPix5 can support the speed and resolution capabilities of the Lt225 and Lt425. StreamPix 5 is sold independently of Lumenera cameras, but offers the end camera user a simple “out-of-the-box” software solution to render high-speed, high-resolution images and videos.
As industry leaders, Lumenera and NorPix have successfully partnered before to offer user-friendly integrated software solutions. Lumenera’s complete portfolio of industrial cameras, INFINITY microscopy cameras and SKYnyx astronomy camera series are all supported by StreamPix5 software.
“For NorPix it is essential to support customers with a strong solution that enables users to maximize camera features and benefits that are available to them” states Luc Nocente, President at NorPix. “As Lumenera’s prominence in worldwide markets expands, we are pleased to integrate additional cameras into our software and look forward to the growing partnership.”
“We have been proactively pursuing partnerships with all industry leading software providers,” explains Dany Longval, Vice President, Worldwide Sales at Lumenera Corporation. “Integration with NorPix’s software clearly demonstrates our commitment to enhancing the compatibility of our products, and offers customers premium solutions to fit within their imaging application.”
