The Lt665R is Lumenera’s latest high-performance 6MP USB 3.0 CCD camera that draws the most from the industry leading Sony EXview HAD II sensor technology. The ICX694 sensor-based Lt665R reliably delivers full resolution frames at the maximum achievable speed of 27 fps at full resolution over the 5 Gbps USB 3.0 data interface. This camera is ideal for applications where high speed, sensitivity and resolution are critical.

The camera includes 128 MB of onboard memory for frame buffering, which ensures dependable and reliable image delivery even in the most demanding environments.  The Lt665R can be customized to suit OEM designs.

The ICX814 sensor-based Lt965R reliably delivers full resolution frames at the maximum achievable speed of 19 fps. Lumenera is one of a limited number of camera suppliers to provide the highest possible frame rate that can be achieved with the ICX814 sensor. The camera includes 128 MB of onboard memory for frame buffering, which ensures dependable and reliable image delivery even in the most demanding environments.

Lumenera was recently featured in "High-performance traffic imaging for the next generation", an article that discusses the use of USB 3.0 technology in ITS applications.

Below is a excerpt from this interesting article:

Before USB 3.0, if you required a camera that could output higher resolution and higher frame rates than GigE could support, you needed an interface such as CameraLink (medium or full modes), which were more costly and complex, had limited cable length and required a frame grabber card. The requirement for a frame grabber can become a major obstacle for compact embedded platforms, such as those found in transportation.

In 2011, Lumenera recognized that USB 3.0 would change the landscape of camera interfaces by enabling higher resolutions and frame rates without requiring frame grabbers. USB 3.0, like USB 2.0, is a plug-and-play interface, which has grown in popularity and now has strong support on the host side with many hardware platforms and mature drivers. This makes USB 3.0 an ideal solution for applications requiring more than can be offered by GigE and dual GigE interfaces.

lumenera featured in intertraffic magazine

Lumenera's Lt365R USB 3.0 CCD camera was featured in the special edition of Intertraffic, that covered highlights from the International Intertraffic 2014 Show, held in Amsterdam last March. Below is an excerpt from the article:

The Lt365R boasts a 2.8 MP progressive-scan sensor and a global shutter, for high-speed image capture without blur. The Sony ICX674 sensor combines speed, sensitivity and low noise and the 'R' designation identifies that these products have been engineered to meet the demands of many applications by significantly reducing the read and dark current noise.

This provides imaging in difficult lighting conditions, or even into the NIR range, says Dany Longval, Vice President, Worldwide Sales. "We’re pushing the sensor to the limit here. Everyone can produce good images in daylight. The challenge is to do it at night. The new Lt365R produces high-resolution pictures with low noise, and the USB 3.0 connectivity runs at 5GB/s, making the camera ideal for applications such as tolling and parking.
