PRODUCT SPOTLIGHT

LUMENERA 'R' GRADE CAMERAS

You've seen the 'R' product codes in some of our INFINITY digital microscopy cameras. What does it mean?

The 'R' identifies that Lumenera’s expert team has re-engineered the product to substantially reduce the read noise and dark current noise, as well as offer frame rate improvements. These cameras out-perform their predecessors to fulfill the demands of many research applications.

To identify which cameras offer these enhancements, research-grade cameras are now denoted with an 'R' in the ordering part number. The 'R' appears before the indication of color (C) or monochrome (M).

These cameras feature lower noise electronics, higher grade components, and Lumenera's unique thermal management technology. The end result is high quality images with extremely low noise and high dynamic range for the same price, or lower!

America Back to Work
Since its low point in 2010, the manufacturing sector has created 500,000 new jobs. There are a number of factors contributing to this revival in North America. Foreign products have become less price competitive due to increasing wages in overseas labor and transportation costs. The need for tighter supply chain management, faster turnaround and time to market, as well as the ability to rapidly customize products all point in favour of sticking with a local manufacturing company instead of outsourcing overseas. Last, but not least, another contributing factor that I want to explore in further detail with you is increased manufacturing efficiency through the deployment of advanced machine vision and robotics.
