Le165 All-purpose Surveillance Camera Provides Megapixel Image Quality

The Le165 is a 1.4 megapixel network surveillance camera. It offers a CCD sensor for superior light sensitivity than that offered by analog cameras, as well as a global electronic shutter for capturing objects moving at highway speeds.

This camera model has been specifically designed for surveillance instances with low-light conditions where high dynamic range is required. Stop-motion image capture capabilities provide crisp images of moving objects. The Le165 is available in color (Le165CE), monochrome (Le165ME) and day/night (-DN) models.

Both JPEG and H.264 compression are offered by the latest version of the Le165 to allow control of bandwidth and storage. The camera includes a standard and backwards compatible Application Programming Interface (API) to support off-the-shelf video management software or custom applications.

Update on Lumenera’s Camera Installation in Abu Dhabi Airport

Le165 Cameras Continue To Provide Increased Runway Safety at the Abu Dhabi Airport

Beginning in 2008 Lumenera has worked with Searidge Technologies to provide an imaging solution for the Abu Dhabi airport's 13,000 foot runway. The airport chose Searidge's IntelliDAR system, which features Lumenera’s Le165 camera for surface surveillance, enabling air traffic controllers to have full situational and visual awareness of the airport’s newly constructed runway. This surveillance system detects and monitors traffic movements on the airport surface providing radar-like target information.

In 2011 Ali Mahmoud, Product Manager, Searidge Technologies, provided an update on the Abu Dhabi airport project stating that “From start to finish, the project was completed within 4 months. Cameras were installed 8 weeks after receiving the purchase order. The Abu Dhabi airport surveillance system has been fully operational for over two years and there has never been an issue with the Lumenera Le165 cameras.”

Le138CF-DN dome camera delivers megapixel “HD” image clarity even in lowlight conditions

The Le138CF-DN dome camera offers 3 times more pixels on target than a standard definition camera at 30 fps. This capability allows the camera to deliver a crisp 'live video' look with low latency even in low light. The Le138CF-DN features a 1/3" CCD image sensor, auto iris lens, and a filter mechanism designed for deployment with active infrared illuminators.

Other innovative features include an adaptive wide dynamic range image capture technology that provides for clear images in mixed sun and shadow.

The Le138CF-DN comes with a complete installation kit and installs quickly and easily on a wall or ceiling. A single network cable is all that is required to complete the installation.

Customer Satisfaction Survey

We are listening to you.
Lumenera completed its second Customer Satisfaction Survey. The overall feedback was very positive with an 85% overall satisfaction level on the services provided by the Technical Assistance Centre (TAC). While we are extremely pleased with these results, we continually strive to provide exceptional customer service and will be making a few improvements in 2012.

You gave us great scores on the team’s professionalism, knowledge levels, helpfulness, comprehension and level of detail provided to resolve cases. We want to improve our regular timely updates for longer and more complicated cases. We’ve been asked to broadcast any new software downloads and tools put in place to assist customers. We scored well on the Knowledge Base/FAQ section of our website which we work to keep up-to-date with our latest technical camera information.

We are still digesting the helpful information provided by those who completed the survey. In response to some suggestions, Lumenera launched its first TAC UPDATE email that was sent out to customers in November. This update email notified our customers that a new version of INFINITY ANALYZE software was available on the Download Centre of our website. In addition, we announced two new Video Tutorials for ANALYZE software. In future look out for these helpful and informative TAC UPDATE emails.

We thank everyone who provided their valuable feedback and suggestions. The Lumenera TAC team will use this information throughout 2012 to continue to improve our customer service.

New TAC UPDATE Communication launched in November 2011

In response to feedback acquired through Lumenera’s second customer survey, the TAC team will be providing timely updates regarding software modifications, as well as, new tutorials and tools being introduced. This will come in the form of a TAC UPDATE e-mail.

The first TAC UPDATE was sent out to our scientific partners and addressed the release of Lumenera’s INFINITY ANALYZE 6.0.0 scientific software. TAC will be using the TAC UPDATE email communication to inform partners of software releases and timely information regarding training tools, Knowledge Base updates, etc.

Movember- Lumenera would like to recognize all our Mo Bros and Mo Sistas who raised awareness and funds for prostate cancer research in November. Staff members raised $3589. Special recognition goes to Lumenera’s Mo Bros who grew (or tried to grow) the best moustaches:

Towel Drive- Staff members at Lumenera gathered 106 towels for shelters in Ottawa, ON. This fundraiser is in line with Lumenera's 'green' values and also exemplifies the community spirit our staff possesses.

Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup- Lumenera participated in a river cleanup event in September, 2011 to help remove litter along the Rideau River in Ottawa, ON. In total Lumenera staffers collected just over 40 kg of food packages, beverage containers, fishing line, plastic bags, construction waste, and cigarette butts!
