Lumenera is Excited to Announce the Launch of its New
INFINITY3-1U Ultra-Sensitive 1.4 Megapixel CCD Camera
The INFINITY3-1U is the newest USB 2.0 offering from the popular INFINITY family of microscopy cameras. It is an ideal solution for low light applications (such as fluorescence) and where precise color reproduction is needed.
The INFINITY3-1U offers large 6.45µm x 6.45µm pixels in a 2/3” format with a maximum resolution of 1392x1040. It employs the Sony ICX285 1.4 megapixel CCD sensor – the market leader for fluorescence and other challenging low light applications. In addition, the camera's near-perfect color rendition makes it an excellent addition to any clinical laboratory. Suitable for both fluorescent and brightfield imaging this camera offers an excellent price-to-performance ratio.
The INFINITY3-1U’s adaptability to vary resolution and frame rate requirements, combined with low noise performance and 8 or 12-bit pixel data mode, make the INFINITY3-1U an ideal camera for both live and fixed cell imaging. Live video preview allows for real-time focus; while auto exposure and auto/manual white balance efficiently capture your optimal image. This complete solution includes Lumenera’s INFINITY CAPTURE and INFINITY ANALYZE software, and is offered with either color or monochrome capability.  TWAIN and DIRECTX drivers ensure integration and compatibility with a variety of 3rd party software applications. Advanced camera control is available through an optional Software Developers Kit.

Lumenera Recently Released INFINITY ANALYZE Software- New INFINITY Software v5.0.0.
The latest version of our INFINTY software features significant and exciting additions. It is now even more user friendly and efficient in capturing and editing the high quality images produced by Lumenera’s INFINITY line of cameras.
Updates include:
- 64-bit drivers are now available for all INFINITY cameras on Windows platforms
- INFINITY ANALYZE now includes a full screen mode
- Preview grid pattern artifacts have been eliminated from INFINITY ANALYZE
- Bitmap overlay added to live preview and captured images in INFINITY ANALYZE
- INFINITY CAPTURE can now export camera settings to a named INFINITY ANALYZE preset
- INFINITY ANALYZE now offers a simple layout for demos and first time operators

How to Choose Between an INFINITY or Digital Still Camera

If it’s time to make a decision on what type of camera to purchase for your microscope, then a Digital Still Camera (DSC) is likely being considered. Before that choice is made, take a close look at what an INFINITY camera from Lumenera has to offer:
Setup
Lumenera microscopy camera models come complete with a USB 2.0 cable, installation CD, electronic User’s Guide, microscopy application software, and power adapter (if required).
Software
The INFINITY ANALYZE software package is easy to use and intuitive. It provides all of the camera control functions to create an optimum image, and includes calibration, measurement, and annotation tools, along with a number of image enhancement functions.
Display
The INFINITY camera provides continuous video frames to the PC monitor, offering a far superior presentation of the final image than you would achieve on the small digital screen on the back of a DSC. The live video mode allows you to quickly frame and focus the camera image.
Dedicated
Lumenera INFINITY cameras are tethered directly to the PC. They do not make use of tiny buttons spread across the camera body or have complex layers of menus displayed on a miniature screen.
