INFINITY1-5 is An Easy to Use and Cost Effective Solution for Scientific Applications
Lumenera’s INFINITY1-5 CMOS microscopy camera is a cost-effective and versatile solution for the documentation and archiving of clinical, life science, and industrial applications.
The INFINITY1-5 offers 2592 x 1944 resolution, 7 to 60 fps with binning and ROI,  a 12-bit digital output, good sensitivity and brilliant color reproduction. Live video preview allows for real-time focus; while auto exposure and manual white balance efficiently capture your optimal image. A USB 2.0 interface eliminates the need for a framegrabber - providing “plug & play” ease of use.
The INFINITY1-5 color camera is fully supported by INFINITY CAPTURE and INFINITY ANALYZE software. Advanced camera control is available through a Software Developers Kit (SDK), while TWAIN and DirectX drivers ensure integration and compatibility with a variety of 3rd party software applications.

Lumenera Aids LanSchool in Creating Effective Classroom Management Tools
Lumenera’s INFINITY cameras can now be used with LanSchool’s management solution to provide classrooms, laboratories, and other learning environments with a comprehensive networking administration tool. LansSchool can help teach students more effectively and allow laboratories to setup scalable microscopy networks.
When learning digital microscopy in a classroom setting students can become easily distracted by other applications on their computers (games, internet browsing, IM etc.) and lose focus of the task at hand. Lumenera and Lanschool offer educational laboratories a complete solution by monitoring computers so instructors can view who is on task or who needs help. By removing the challenge of monitoring these distractions the learning experience becomes easier and yields greater success.
Lumenera’s LanSchool empowers educators to facilitate the student learning experience:
- Provide live demonstrations by showing their monitor to the students.
- Remove distractions and limit access to certain software applications.

Real World Application: Microscopy for Diagnosing Cancer
Lumenera’s high performance cameras can be a critical element in diagnosing cancerous cells as they allow for the clear, accurate images needed to analyze samples and gather crucial information.
Precise color reproduction, megapixel resolution, and high-speed preview are important factors in sample imaging. It is imperative that the colors observed in a microscope match those found in the final image of the sample, and that the image retains its consistency upon enlargement. This ensures a proper diagnosis of the suspected cancer. Lumenera's INFINITY line of cameras are an ideal solution for ensuring sample images are precise and clear.
The INFINITYX-32, a 32 megapixel CCD microscopy camera can be used by pathologists in this clinical application. Lumenera's Finance Department Launches Auto E-Mail Confirmation & Notification System
Lumenera has improved its order processing system to now automatically notify you when your order has been received and when it ships.
Orders processed will have an automated acknowledgement email issued identifying that we have received your order and we are processing your request. This will be issued to each customer’s contact email address the following morning. If a target ship date has been assigned, then you will receive a confirmation email identifying that we have received the order and that the ship date is confirmed.
A shipping notice email will be issued once your order is shipped, providing the tracking number for your records. This will allow you to track your shipment and assist with your organizational planning.
This new notification system was developed in-house through a specialized team of dedicated Lumenera employees, as a commitment to our continual improvement and innovation. Using internal resources has allowed us to maintain our dedication to confidentiality and ensure the security of sensitive information.
After the initial launch period, feedback has been extremely positive and we are excited to be able to introduce this process to our customers.
