Lumenera's Lw575M High Resolution 5MP Monochrome Camera
Lumenera is pleased to announce the upcoming release of the Lw575M, our high resolution 5MP monochrome camera. The Lw575M was designed to provide high dynamic range and sensitivity for demanding industrial applications particularly those with low light conditions where image quality is critical.
This high-speed USB 2.0 camera possesses a 1/2.5" optical format, 2.2um x 2.2um pixel size, and 7fps at full resolution. Features of the Lw575M include a leading 1/2.5" CMOS sensor, fast rolling shutter, 8 or 12-bit digital output, and I/O control for synchronization with strobe and peripheral devices.
Advanced camera functions are available through a comprehensive API that is included in our SDK along with sample code and technical support to quickly integrate camera features into your application.
The new Lw575M delivers outstanding image quality and value. It is the ideal camera for ophthalmic imaging, document inspection, 1D and 2D bar code reading.

Lumenera's Device Drivers Provide Stable Long-Term Camera Use
The device drivers offered with Lumenera's high performance digital cameras allow you to use and perform various imaging tasks for long periods of time without experiencing any issues or complications. Most importantly multiple cameras, more then ten at a time, can run simultaneously with no slow downs or interruptions.
Lumenera’s stable device drivers work effortlessly with other USB devices making it easy to multi-task and get the image results you need. The device drivers in LuCam 5.0.0 are digitally signed for Windows Vista and can be digitally signed for Windows XP upon request.

Lumenera Chooses the LINOS MeVis-C Series of Lenses for its 5 Megapixel Camera
Lumenera’s industrial Lw575C digital camera features a pixel size of 2.2 microns to provide high resolution clear images. At this size the optical resolution of the camera is over 200 lp/mm and requires a high quality lens capable of resolving features. There are many C-mount lenses available on the market but none have the resolving capability of LINOS’ MeVis-C lens, that delivers excellent results when used with Lumenera's smallest pixel-sized industrial cameras.
LINOS offers the MeVis-C lens in 5 focal lengths: 12mm, 16mm, 25mm, 35mm, and 50mm. The 12mm and 16mm lenses are designed to be used with a 2/3" sensor, and the 25mm, 35mm, and 50mm lenses are designed to be used with a 1" sensor. LINOS’ lenses are also transmissive from 400nm to 900nm, transmitting well into the Near Infrared (NIR) for special applications. Lumenera is proud to work with LINOS lenses to provide a complete solution to satisfy the most demanding digital imaging requirements.

Lumenera's Customer Satisfaction Survey
Lumenera recently completed a customer satisfaction survey to gather feedback and ensure our client needs are consistently being met.
The satisfaction survey was distributed to over 800 customers and partners who have utilized Lumenera’s Technical Assistance Center (TAC) over the past year, focusing on those who have had several TAC experiences to get their indepth viewpoints.
The customer satisfaction survey had a 20% response rate overall which has surpassed the industry average and exceeded expectations. Thank you to all the customer satisfaction survey respondents.
Lumenera Customer Satisfaction Survey 2008 Results:
89% of respondents are happy with the timeliness of communication and information from TAC.
86% are very satisfied/satisfied with their experience in reaching the right person to help them.
82% are very satisfied/satisfied with the accuracy and helpfulness of the information provided.
82% are very satisfied/satisfied with the overall resolution of their case.
91% are very satisfied/satisfied with the professionalism of the TAC team.
89% rated TACs knowledge level in the very satisfied/satisfied categories.
86% rated their overall satisfaction levels in the very satisfied/satisfied categories.
Lumenera is pleased with the overall positive results and we thank our partners and customers for providing us with invaluable information. We also acknowledge the areas for improvement suggested in the survey results and will be using these constructive and helpful comments as we review and formulate a plan for TAC’s 2009 objectives. The Lumenera Knowledge Base portal currently provides help to customers with queries and provides case specific information. This is one area which we are already focusing our attention on to enhance the user experience. Lumenera intends to contact some of those respondents who indicated any level of dissatisfaction with the Knowledge Base to pinpoint where we may improve this service.
Additionally we will be reviewing the turnaround times for products returned for repair. The Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process is under continuous improvement. This year Lumenera introduced the automated order acknowledgement and RMA automated notices which have improved customer communication. Specifically for turn around times, we will take the comments provided and consider the points made as we move forward to improve customer satisfaction.
