Lumenera Now Offering 64-bit Operating System Support
Lumenera is continually focused on maintaining our high level of service and support standards. As part of these efforts we are introducing 64-bit operating system support for all of our camera products. This process is being phased in as camera software packages are updated.
64-bit support has now been introduced through our latest release, LuCam 5.0 (previously referred to as release 4.7.0) which contains beta versions of our 64-bit drivers, API, and software libraries.
If you are running a 64-bit operating system, you can take full advantage of this new camera driver and software support. Existing 32-bit applications will run with our 64-bit camera drivers, or you can migrate your applications to full 64-bit support to benefit from your computer’s more powerful CPU.
LuCam 5.0 now removes all unwanted messaging that can slow down installation making our driver more trusted by the operating system and simplifying installation when working with Windows Vista operating system.
For application developers using the Lumenera API functions, it is important to note that two versions of our camera libraries (DLLs) are provided to support both 32-bit and 64-bit applications.
If you have any questions on our new 64-bit software support, feel free to contact us at support@lumenera.com.

PARTNERSHIP
Lumenera Partners with Aldis Inc. to Make Traffic Monitoring Systems Safe and Efficient
Aldis, Inc. was formed in 2006 with the aim of bringing their efficient traffic and energy management technology and services to municipal partners, focusing on the traffic signal and management segment. Aldis recognized a problem with the 20% per year failure rate of current traffic monitoring systems which rely on loops buried into the road to detect the presence or absence of a vehicle at an intersection. The costs associated with these loops are also a problem for many municipalities as it costs $3000-5000 to repair a single loop.
To eliminate the drawbacks of traffic loops Aldis developed GridSmart, a vision based traffic-monitoring and control system using Lumenera’s Le575 advanced digital camera. This technology replaces inefficient loop systems and obsolete central control systems with advanced digital camera technology paired with a proprietary and custom built 160 degree lens.

CORPORATE NEWS
Lumenera's Finance Department Launches Auto E-Mail Confirmation & Notification System
Lumenera has improved its order processing system to now automatically notify you when your order has been received and when it ships.
Orders processed will have an automated acknowledgement email issued identifying that we have received your order and we are processing your request. This will be issued to each customer’s contact email address the following morning. If a target ship date has been assigned, then you will receive a confirmation email identifying that we have received the order and that the ship date is confirmed.
A shipping notice email will be issued once your order is shipped, providing the tracking number for your records. This will allow you to track your shipment and assist with your organizational planning.
This new notification system was developed in-house through a specialized team of dedicated Lumenera employees, as a commitment to our continual improvement and innovation. Using internal resources has allowed us to maintain our dedication to confidentiality and ensure the security of sensitive information.
After the initial launch period, feedback has been extremely positive and we are excited to be able to introduce this process to our customers. For more information, and/or to provide your comments, please contact Catherine Fumerton our Director of Customer Satisfaction at satisfaction@lumenera.com.
