NEW INFINITY4-11 MICROSCOPE COUPLER

Lumenera recently introduced the INFINITY4-11 microscope camera. Matching the field of view of a traditional 35mm camera, the INFINITY4-11’s sensor has a 43.3mm diagonal with 11 megapixel resolution. Boasting superior color reproduction, this camera is ideal for high-end scientific, industrial, medical, ophthalmic and life science applications.

The addition of the INFINITY4-11 to the INFINITY family of cameras posed a new challenge; to provide a readily available cost-effective large format coupler designed to deliver the necessary magnification to cover the larger chip diagonals of the INFINITY4-11. To address this issue, and in our continued commitment to fully supporting customer application requirements, Lumenera teamed with a leading-edge technology partner with expertise in optomechanical design to provide a cost-effective custom microscope coupler for the INFINITY4-11.

The Lu9019-XX Large Format Custom Coupler is uniquely designed to take full advantage of the INFINITY4-11’s high resolution across the full field on view of this large format sensor. This new coupler offers complete mounting, and is fully compatible with the major microscope brands and models. Part numbers for the various brands and models are available directly from Lumenera or through our network of dealers and distributors.

We highly recommend using the INFINITY4-11 with this purpose-built coupler in order to ensure the best camera’s performance.

ADJUSTABLE BACK FOCUS C-MOUNT FOR INFINITY CAMERAS

Lumenera’s INFINITY family of cameras will now include an adjustable back focus c-mount, allowing users to improve parfocality with a microscope trinocular port. Customers can also take advantage of this new feature when using a zoom lens with an INFINITY focus setting or other custom optics.

No tools are required when making use of the new back focus adjustment. Simply loosen the c-mount locking ring, rotate the inner black c-mount ring until the sample is in sharp focus, then re-tighten the locking ring.
