Hassle-free lens mount offers increased flexibility and ease of use

Ottawa, Ontario, Canada – September 29, 2009 – Lumenera Corporation, www.lumenera.com, Lumenera Corporation, a leading developer and manufacturer of high performance digital cameras and custom imaging solutions today announced the release of an improved series of network cameras with a new “set and forget” lens mount.

The robust new lens mount design simplifies installation of megapixel IP cameras and is easy to use with a wide assortment of lenses. The back focal distance is set at the factory, and normally requires no adjustment by the installer. For specialized applications, a custom back focal distance can also be set by using an Allen key to adjust set screws. Fabricated from die cast aluminum, the new CS-mount also accepts C-mount lenses using a 5-mm C-to-CS mount adapter ring.

Lumenera’s line of popular network cameras is designed for general and high-end security applications, including low light conditions. Both Lumenera’s standard camera line and the Li intelligent camera series deliver outstanding picture quality and performance in a all-metal body that fits easily into housings and PTZ systems. Resolutions from VGA to 11 megapixel are available. Outdoor performance can be optimized using industry standard DC iris lenses and an automatic day/night (near-infrared) mode. Both color and monochrome product models are available, as well as custom and OEM form factors.

This change will affect all Le-series and Li-series network cameras except the Le259 and Le11059, including the true day/night variants with moving near-infrared filter shuttle. New rugged molded tripod mount improves reliability and ease of use

Ottawa, Ontario, Canada – March 5, 2009 – Lumenera Corporation, www.lumenera.com, a leading manufacturer and developer of high performance digital cameras and custom imaging solutions for scientific, industrial, and surveillance markets, today issued a product modification notice for its network camera line.

Effective late March 2009, Lumenera will begin shipping network cameras with a new and improved molded tripod mount. This change will affect all Le-series and Li-series network cameras, except the Le259, Le11059 and their variants.

The new tripod mount is formed out of rugged molded black ABS plastic, and uses a 1/4 inch diameter 20 threads per inch screw (1/4”-20) to securely mount the camera to an enclosure, wall bracket or standard photography tripod. A threaded metal insert mates with the ¼”-20 fastener, while a second clear hole accepts the alignment pin found in most tripod mounts designed for photography. Four metal screws fasten the tripod mount to the track on the camera body.
To order additional tripod mounts use order part number Le906B. The previous Le906 tripod mount (aluminum part with 4 nylon screws) will be discontinued.
