Le575 provides 16X the detail of analog cameras

The Le575 delivers unsurpassed image quality, setting a new standard for the high level of image detail security professionals have come to expect of IP cameras.

With 16X the resolution of analog or VGA cameras, the cost-effective Le575 is ideally suited for the recognition of people’s faces and vehicle licence plates, producing exceptionally crisp images suitable for digital zoom within a DVR/NVR system. The progressive scan image sensor can be easily paired with a wide selection of off-the-shelf megapixel lenses in 1/2-inch optical format. Streaming full 2560x1920 resolution at up to 6 frames per second, the Le575 transmits high quality JPEG images across a standard 10/100BaseT network interface. The camera maintains Lumenera's standard user interface and API for seamless support by our full range of softwareand hardware-based digital video recording partners. This camera is available in color, and is offered with an optional true day/night variant with a field-proven filter mechanism to provide outstanding night time performance when paired with infrared lighting. Lumenera can also provide a selection of weatherproof enclosures.

Over 100 intelligent cameras to be installed this year

Ottawa, Ontario, Canada – September 20, 2007 - Lumenera Corporation, a leading developer and manufacturer of high performance digital cameras and custom imaging solutions, is pleased to announce the win of a recent security camera tender together with one of its International Distributors, to supply over 100 intelligent cameras for deployment in a major European public transportation system.

Lumenera’s new Li series intelligent camera with ObjectVideo OnBoard™ video analytics was selected for this first phase of a large project that will eventually span city wide. Over 100 megapixel cameras will provide automated surveillance for digital tripwire, object left behind, object counting, and object classification. Security personnel for this major European public transportation system will now have greater opportunity to interrupt a crime or attack while in progress and reduce false alarms, providing more effective surveillance.

Analysis at the camera head relieves loading real-time video to backroom servers

ISC West 2007, Las Vegas, NV – March 28, 2007– Lumenera Corporation, a leading manufacturer and developer of high performance digital cameras and custom imaging solutions for security, industrial and scientific markets, today unveiled the Li045 - Lumenera’s first intelligent family of cameras featuring onboard video analytics.

Lumenera’s new intelligent cameras greatly enhance the ability to detect potential threats and events in real-time, providing the opportunity for security personnel to interrupt a crime or attack while in progress. ObjectVideo video analytics heighten the effectiveness of digital video surveillance by offering automated, real-time detection, tracking and analysis of objects of interest and identification of potential threats. Equipped with TI’s DaVinci™ technology-based processors, the Li045 makes use of Pixim Incorporated's Orca Chipset – an ultra-wide dynamic range (120+dB) sensor which overcomes the issue of washed out images in challenging lighting environments, and offers excellent color rendition and image quality in any lighting conditions. Additionally, the Li045 is the first intelligent camera to market with selectable MJPEG and H.264 compression to address user requirements for higher quality images or lower bandwidth to stream video data.

Streaming full 720x480 resolution at up to 30 frames per second, these cameras deliver outstanding picture quality and performance across a standard 10/100BaseT network interface. A 1/3” sensor CCD sensor is capable of scanning 540+ lines of resolution using progressive scan technology –an ideal solution for capturing moving object across broad scenes. This camera is available in both colour or monochrome and is offered with optional environmental enclosures.
