Powerful, cost-effective solution ideal for visible spectrum to NIR machine vision applications

STUTTGART, Germany- Vision Show 2007 - November 6, 2007 -Lumenera Corporation, a leading developer and manufacturer of high performance digital cameras and custom imaging solutions, today announced the release of a new 1.3 megapixel custom imaging solution with integrated LED illumination, ideal for a variety of machine vision applications and OEM projects with strict lighting requirements.  

Lumenera’s latest custom camera is a powerful, cost-effective solution featuring a concentrated LED light cluster. The combination of lighting, a 1280 x 1024 CMOS resolution sensor, frame rates up to 60fps, and a rolling shutter allow the capture of crisp, precise images of moderately moving objects or persons up to a distance of 10 meters without the need for additional lighting. Both the color camera model, ideal for visible spectrum lighting, and monochrome variant, perfectly suited for near infrared (NIR) illumination applications, are fully supported by the Lumenera Software Developer’s Kit (SDK) with sample code available to quickly integrate camera functions into OEM applications. High-speed USB 2.0 interface provides simple plug-and-play integration with any DirectShow application.

June 12, 2007: Lumenera Introduces Cost-Effective 5 Megapixel Usb 2.0 Color Camera Series
5 megapixel cameras offer unique combination of frame rates and resolution

International Robots & Vision Show, Rosemont, IL, June 12, 2007:Lumenera Corporation, a leading developer and manufacturer of high performance digital cameras and custom imaging solutions, today announced the release of the Lw570 and Lw575 series of color megapixel USB 2.0, designed for use in a variety of industrial and scientific applications where high resolution and low-light performance are required.

This cost-effective 5 megapixel CMOS camera series offers a unique combination of frame rates and resolution (7 fps at full 2592x1944 resolution, up to 60 fps through sub-windowing). Excellent image quality and high fidelity color are key characteristics of this camera’s 1/2.5” Micron sensor. Other features include high dynamic range, on-board processing, and DirectShow connectivity. Uncompressed images such as streaming video and still image capture are provided across a high-speed USB 2.0 digital interface. No framegrabber is required.  Advanced camera control is available through a complete Software Developer’s Kit (SDK), with sample code available to quickly integrate camera functions into OEM applications.

USB 2.0 connectivity eliminates the need for a costly framegrabber

Ottawa, Ontario, Canada - April 23, 2007 - Lumenera Corporation, a leading developer and manufacturer of high performance digital cameras and imaging solutions, today announced the release of the Lw11059 series of CCD megapixel USB 2.0 cameras, designed for use in a variety of industrial and scientific applications where ultra-high resolution and low-light performance are required.

With 4008x2672 resolution and on-board processing, these cost-effective cameras deliver outstanding image quality and value. Ideal applications include display and document inspection where optical performance is important throughout the entire image including its edges. Uncompressed images such as streaming video and still image capture are provided across a USB 2.0 digital interface. No framegrabber is required. Advanced camera control is available through a complete Software Developer’s Kit (SDK), with sample code available to quickly integrate camera functions into OEM applications.

This camera series is offered with a hardware and software based synchronization trigger, and is available with three different lens mount options: Lw11059 with a Canon Bayonet-Style Mount; Lw11058 with a K-Mount; and the Lw11057 with an F-Mount.
