High quality, progressive scan images even in low light conditions

Ottawa, Ontario, Canada- December 1, 2005 - Lumenera Corporation, a leading developer and manufacturer of high performance digital cameras and imaging solutions, today announced the release of a new Ethernet VGA digital camera intended for 24-hour security surveillance. The Le075 is a high-speed camera, based on a high-quality CCD sensor with fast global shutter - ideal for traffic monitoring and applications capturing objects in motion. A removable IR color filter allows for color video during daylight, and optimum images in low light conditions.

The Le075 uses a highly sensitive 1/3" CCD sensor with a resolution of 640x480 pixels and can deliver image data at 60 frames per second at full resolution. Smaller 320x240 regions of interest provide higher frame rates. This camera is available in both colour or monochrome and is offered with a true day/night option for enhanced low light performance.

Lumenera is pleased to announce that the Le075 cameras are now available for purchase at a unit price of $995.00 USD. True day/night option is also available at an additional cost of $100 USD.

OEM customer for new 2 megapixel CCD network camera model

Ottawa, Ontario, Canada - Oct 28, 2005 - Lumenera Corporation, a leading developer and manufacturer of high performance digital cameras and imaging solutions, today announced it has received an order for $1.5M to develop and supply a new, high-performance 2 megapixel HD format network camera.  The order includes a mix of new and standard (Le175) cameras over a one year period.

This OEM customer recently moved from analog CCTV cameras to megapixel to reduce the camera count required in a typical install.  The additional resolution of a 2Kx1K HD sensor provides image detail to greatly improve the success rate in capturing high-speed moving objects in daylight and night-time conditions.  Full I/O control of external strobe was a key technical requirement.

The Le165 series is based on Sony ExView HAD, 1.4 megapixel color or monochrome CCD sensor providing output of 15 fps at full (1392x1040) resolution. ExView HAD CCD provides for low light sensitivity below 0.1 lux with extended NIR capabilities. Compressed MJPEG images in live-streaming video and still-image capture are provided across a standard 10/100BaseT network connection. The Le165 is a fully software configurable camera via standard Internet browser or API level interface. Includes support for features such as on-board memory, privacy zones, RS-232 control or PTZ, alarm I/O, motion detection and dc-iris.

True day/night functionality provides the ability for the network camera to capture high quality images under all lighting conditions. Mr. Tilson holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Eastern Michigan University and an MBA in Marketing from the University of Toledo.
