 The INFINITY2-2 offers 12 fps at full 1616 x 1216 resolution, with higher frame rates through binning and ROI. A Sony ICX274 progressive scan CCD sensor provides excellent sensitivity and brilliant color reproduction with a 12-bit digital output. Live video preview allows for real-time focus, while auto exposure and auto/manual white balance efficiently capture your optimal image. A USB 2.0 interface eliminates the need for framegrabbers, and provides “plug & play” ease of use. The INFINITY2-2is offered with both color and monochrome capability and is fully supported by INFINITY CAPTURE software, an intuitive user interface that includes all of the basic features required to control the camera and capture crisp clear images. Advanced camera control is available through a Software Developers Kit, while a TWAIN driver ensures integration and compatibility with a variety of 3rd party software applications.

July 1, 2005: Lumenera Corporation Releases New High-Sensitivity, Cooled Ccd Digital Camera

Ottawa, Ontario, CanadaJuly 1, 2005– Lumenera Corporation, a leading developer and manufacturer of high performance digital cameras and imaging solutions, today announced the release of a new cooled USB2.0 digital camera aimed at the scientific market. The INFINITY3-1is based on a high quality 12-bit CCD sensor, ideal for extremely low light conditions and long exposure quantitative analysis applications.

The INFINITY3-1 employs the highly successful and popular 2/3” Sony ICX285 CCD sensor with 1.4 megapixel resolution.    The extremely sensitive Sony CCD sensor, combined with high dynamic range and low noise as a result of proprietary Peltier cooling technology, designates the INFINITY3-1 an ideal choice for extended exposure and low light fluorescent applications where 12 bit data is required for analysis.  

The INFINITY3-1is offered with both color and monochrome capability and is fully supported by the INFINITY Capture software, an intuitive user interface that includes all of the basic features required to control the camera and capture crisp clear images.  INFINITY cameras also include TWAIN drivers which ensure the integration and compatibility with a variety of 3 rd party software applications.  The plug-and-play high speed USB 2.0 interface produces extremely high frame rates through binning and ROI allowing real time preview and focus.

July 1, 2005: Lumenera Corporation Releases New 6.6 Megapixel Infinity Digital Camera

Ottawa, Ontario, CanadaJuly 1, 2005– Lumenera Corporation, a leading developer and manufacturer of high performance digital cameras and imaging solutions, today announced the release of a new high speed USB2.0 digital cameras aimed at the scientific market. The INFINITY 1-6 is a multi-megapixel resolution camera based on a high dynamic range (+100dB) CMOS sensor, ideal for documentation and archiving applications.

The INFINITY 1-6 uses a 6.6 megapixel, progressive scan CMOS image sensor with a resolution of 3000x2208 and can deliver 5 frames per second resulting in crisp, exceptional quality images for the most demanding brightfield microscopy applications. Higher frame rates at lower resolution, with full color sub-windowing allows for rapid focus and scanning of samples.

July 1, 2005: Lumenera Corporation Announces New Simplified Naming Convention For Their Infinity Line Of Scientific Digital Cameras

Ottawa, Ontario, Canada July 1, 2005 – Lumenera Corporation, a leading developer and manufacturer of high performance digital cameras and imaging solutions, today announced the launch of a new naming convention for their INFINITY USB 2.0 digital cameras designed specifically for the scientific market. The new naming convention has been designed to facilitate the addition of new camera models and at the same time be a clear methodology for customers to determine which camera will best suit their requirements.

Lumenera’s INFINITY camera line is one of the most complete and popular product offerings available in the scientific market, currently consisting of four main product series: INFINITY1, INFINITY2, INFINITY3 and INFINITYX. Within these product series there are several models available, with a variety of options to address a wide range of microscopy imaging applications where a combination of speed, resolution and sensitivity are routinely required.

The INFINITY1 series of CMOS-based cameras are a cost effective and versatile solution for documentation and archiving applications. The INFINITY1 series is currently offered in 1, 3 and 6 megapixel versions.

March 28, 2005: Lumenera Corporation Appoints Brian Graydon As Manager Of Business Development- Scientific Division

Ottawa, Ontario, CanadaMarch 28, 2005– Lumenera Corporation, a leading developer and manufacturer of high performance digital cameras and imaging solutions, today announced the appointment of Brian Graydon as Manager of Business Development, Scientific Division.

Mr Graydon will be responsible for developing and managing the company’s North American sales channel for Lumenera’s scientific line of cameras.

Before joining Lumenera Corporation, Mr Graydon served as a Diagnostic Practice Consultant and Instrument Manager, with Idexx Laboratories Inc., where he was responsible for managing and growing their customer base for scientific analyzers in North America . Prior to his tenure with Idexx, Mr Graydon has served the industry for over 8 years selling scientific products into a variety of clinical and private laboratories as well as selling capital instruments into the clinical market.

Mr Graydon holds a Bachelor of Science, Biochemistry Degree from Carleton University .
