Lumenera Corporation, a leading developer and manufacturer of high performance digital cameras and custom imaging solutions, today announced the release of a new 1.3 megapixel custom imaging solution with integrated LED illumination, ideal for a variety of machine vision applications and OEM projects with strict lighting requirements.
Lumenera’s latest custom camera is a powerful, cost-effective solution featuring a concentrated LED light cluster. The combination of lighting, a 1280 x 1024 CMOS resolution sensor, frame rates up to 60fps, and a rolling shutter allow the capture of crisp, precise images of moderately moving objects or persons up to a distance of 10 meters without the need for additional lighting. Both the color camera model, ideal for visible spectrum lighting, and monochrome variant, perfectly suited for near infrared (NIR) illumination applications, are fully supported by the Lumenera Software Developer’s Kit (SDK) with sample code available to quickly integrate camera functions into OEM applications. High-speed USB 2.0 interface provides simple plug-and-play integration with any DirectShow application.
