International Robots & Vision Show, Rosemont, IL, June 12, 2007: Lumenera Corporation, a leading developer and manufacturer of high performance digital cameras and custom imaging solutions, today announced the release of the Lw570 and Lw575 series of color megapixel USB 2.0, designed for use in a variety of industrial and scientific applications where high resolution and low-light performance are required.
This cost-effective 5 megapixel CMOS camera series offers a unique combination of frame rates and resolution (7 fps at full 2592x1944 resolution, up to 60 fps through sub-windowing). Excellent image quality and high fidelity color are key characteristics of this camera’s 1/2.5” Micron sensor. Other features include high dynamic range, on-board processing, and DirectShow connectivity. Uncompressed images such as streaming video and still image capture are provided across a high-speed USB 2.0 digital interface. No framegrabber is required. Advanced camera control is available through a complete Software Developer’s Kit (SDK), with sample code available to quickly integrate camera functions into OEM applications.

As with all Lumenera camera models, custom variants for the Lw570 and Lw575 are available where the standard off-the-shelf products do not meet exact requirements.
