Ottawa, Ontario, Canada- July 5, 2004 - Lumenera Corporation, a leading developer and manufacturer of high performance digital cameras and imaging solutions, today announced the release of a new USB 2.0 digital camera aimed at the industrial market. The Lu160/Lu165 is a high-speed USB 2.0 camera based on a 1.4 mega pixel EXview HAD CCD sensor that provides high quality 8 or 10 bit capture in extreme low light conditions.
The Lu160/Lu165 uses a 2/3" CCD sensor with 1360 x 1024 pixel resolution and delivers image data at 15 frames per second. Live preview is provided with smaller region of interest. This camera is available in both board level (Lu160) and enclosed (Lu165) versions, is offered with colour or monochrome capability and is fully supported by the Lumenera Software Developer's Kit with an application programming interface compatible with C++ and Visual Basic.
