Ottawa, Ontario, Canada- June 1,2004- Lumenera Corporation, a leading developer and manufacturer of high performance digital cameras and imaging solutions, today announced it will be discontinuing production of the Lu 050/Lu055. due to a supply chain shortage of the Kodak sensor integrated in the camera. The Lu050/Lu055 is a VGA digital camera with global shutter and external trigger.
Lumenera offers two replacement models, the Lu070/Lu075 and Lu080/Lu085 camera series. The Lu070/Lu075 offers higher sensitivity and increased overall image quality with a high performance 1/3" CCD sensor. Both monochrome and color models are now shipping. The Lu080/Lu085 offers a global shuttered 1/2" CMOS sensor providing faster frame rates for high-speed imaging and full sub-windowing capabilities.
Lumenera is pleased to announce that the Lu070/Lu075 camera is available for purchase immediately and the Lu080/085 camera will be available as of October 2004.
Lu070/Lu075 and Lu80/Lu085 unit pricing begins at only $845.00/945.00 USD.
