Ottawa, Ontario, Canada- September 12,2003- Lumenera Corporation, a leading developer and manufacturer of high performance digital cameras and imaging solutions, today announced the release of a new USB 2.0 digital camera aimed at the industrial and scientific markets. The Lu130/Lu135 series is a high-performance digital camera with CCD sensor and basic on-board image processing.
The Lu130/Lu135 uses a 1/2" CCD sensor with resolution of 1392x1040 pixels, delivering 15 frames per second at full resolution. Live frame rates are provided with smaller regions of interest. This camera is available in both board level (Lu130) and enclosed (Lu135) versions, is offered with either monochrome or colour capability and is fully supported by the Lumenera Software Developer's Kit with an application programming interface compatible with C++ and Visual Basic.
"Lumenera's Lu130 series opens up the gateway to high- performance imaging at reasonable costs," commented Mr. Greg Bell Vice President Sales, Lumenera Corporation. "You can still expect advanced functions such as Look Up Tables (LUTS) for accurate color rendition, extremely low noise characteristics and fast shutter speeds (1/250,000 sec) for a wide variety of industrial imaging applications".
Lumenera is pleased to announce that the Lu130/Lu135 cameras will be available for purchase as of December 2003. Lu130 unit pricing begins at only $2,145.00USD and the Lu135 unit pricing begins at only $2,245.00 USD.
