Lumenera’s New Lm085 Mini CMOS USB 2.0 Cameras

Lumenera introduces a new small form factor USB 2.0 camera specifically designed for demanding industrial applications, particularly those with extreme light contrast conditions and tight space constraints.

Lumenera's first CMOS-based Lm camera measures 44x44x56mm, offers the same high-performance as our enhanced USB 2.0 camera line, and delivers outstanding image quality and value. Highlights include locking industrial mini USB 2.0 and cost-effective RJ45 GPI/O connector, multiple mounting points, 60 fps at full 752x480 resolution (higher in binning mode), on board processing, electronic global shutter for the capture of fast moving objects with no smear effect, and an ultra-wide dynamic range of 100dB that is achieved by controlling the saturation level of the pixels during the exposure period.

The Lm085 is now available in both color and monochrome variants.

Lumenera's Custom Cameras - Lu371 Series

Lumenera’s Lu371 series of megapixel cameras are designed for high volume OEM applications. This low-profile single board camera will satisfy the smallest of space requirements.

With 2048x1536 resolution and on board processing, these cameras deliver outstanding image quality and value for industrial applications requiring high resolution and modest cost.

Uncompressed images in live streaming video and still image capture are provided across a USB 2.0 digital interface. No framegrabber is required.

Advanced camera control is available through a complete Software Developer’s Kit (SDK), with sample code available to quickly integrate camera functions into OEM applications. Color (only) product models are available.

Lumenera’s Without Sensor Cover Glass (WOCG) Cameras

A common problem encountered with laser profiling is that any glass or glass surface introduces variability and inconsistency. The glass' spectral response and surface's reflectivity will change the characteristics of the laser, resulting in measurement errors and abnormalities.

Obtaining a camera without glass in the optical path is very difficult. To resolve the issue, users frequently choose to buy a camera and remove all glass in the optical path, but in doing so they introduce the risk of damaging the sensor or camera, as dirt and scratches can easily damage and/or ruin the sensor’s surface.

To assist with these ongoing issues, Lumenera introduced the Without Sensor Cover Glass (WOCG) camera series - a line of cameras that do not have glass elements within their optical path. With Lumenera’s WOCG cameras, clients appreciate the convenience of purchasing a fully developed unit where no further modifications are required. Clients can also rely on Lumenera’s expertise, Software Developer’s Kit and Technical Assistance centre for questions, problems and assistance.

These cameras can be identified with the suffix/option - WOCG.
