OBJ recognizes Lumenera for its strong revenue growth

Ottawa, Ontario, Canada - May 9, 2006 - Lumenera Corporation, a leading manufacturer and developer of high performance digital cameras and custom imaging solutions for scientific, industrial and security markets, today announced it has been singled out as Ottawa's Fastest Growing Company for 2006 by the Ottawa Business Journal (OBJ). The OBJ sought out and profiled local companies in order to recognize strong growth in Ottawa 's business community and determine sector strength. Evaluation criteria included the assessment of percentage of revenue increases over their most recent three-year fiscal period and remaining cash positive throughout these three years.

Lumenera was ranked first in the region with three-year revenue growth of 721%, amongst 1000s of technology and non-technology businesses in the Ottawa area. Its success fueled by a shift in the industrial, scientific and security market moving from analog to digital camera solutions.
