LUMENERA APPOINTS BRIAN TILSON AS MANAGER OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT- SECURITY DIVISION

Ottawa, Ontario, Canada – May 11, 2005 –Lumenera Corporation, a leading developer and manufacturer of high performance digital cameras and imaging solutions, today announced the appointment of Brian Tilson as Manager of Business Development, Security Division.

Mr Tilson will be responsible for developing and managing the company’s worldwide sales channel and distribution network, for Lumenera’s line of security cameras.

Before joining Lumenera Corporation, Mr. Tilson served as Director of Sales with AV Logic Inc. and Director of Business Development with March Networks, where he was responsible for establishing international sales channels and selling large high end security applications worldwide. Mr. Tilson has served the security industry for over 15 years, having held progressive positions in sales, marketing and business development.

Mr. Tilson holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Eastern Michigan University and an MBA in Marketing from the University of Toledo.
