LUMENERA INDUSTRIAL APPOINTS DREW BUTTRESS AS DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Industry veteran to head up U.S. operations in Boston, Massachusetts

Ottawa, Ontario, Canada - September 6, 2004 - Lumenera Corporation, a leading developer and manufacturer of high performance digital cameras and imaging solutions, today announced the appointment of Drew Buttress as Director of Business Development, Industrial Division.

Mr. Buttress will be responsible for developing and managing the company's North American sales channel and distribution network, for Lumenera's flagship Industrial line of cameras.

Before joining Lumenera Corporation, Mr. Buttress served as a National Sales Manager, with BitFlow Inc., where he was responsible for managing and growing their North American direct sales force, VAR and Integrator network. Prior to his tenure with BitFlow, Mr. Buttress served the digital imaging industry for over 9 years having held Regional Sales Management positions with both Keystone Automation and Alacron. His previous experience includes over 13 years in both hardware and software design roles within the US Defence Industry. Mr. Buttress holds an Electrical Engineering Degree from Worchester Polytechnic Institute.
