LUMENERA CORPORATION APPOINTS NEW CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Ottawa, Ontario, Canada - June 14, 2004 - Lumenera Corporation, a leading developer and manufacturer of high performance digital cameras and imaging solutions, announced today that Steven J Bruder, CA has been appointed as the company’s Chief Financial Officer.

Steven J. Bruder has been helping entrepreneurs and their companies with strategic business and financial consulting for over 20 years. Mr. Bruder commenced his career by serving for over 9 years with public accounting and consulting firms. In 1993, Mr. Bruder opened his own chartered accountancy business advisory practice. Most recently, Mr. Bruder has been involved with owning, managing and growing companies in the telecom, speech recognition and wireless sectors. Mr. Bruder has a solid history of active involvement and success in steering growing companies.

In 2001 Steven was the bronze award recipient in the Greater Ottawa Chamber of Commerce Young Entrepreneur of the Year and recognized by the Ottawa Business Journal as one of the Top Forty Under 40 for his commitment to professional excellence and contributions to the community.

Mr. Bruder holds a Bachelor of Arts in Administrative and Commercial Studies from the University of Western Ontario is a Chartered Accountant and has completed the Leading Entrepreneurial Organizations program at the Richard Ivey School of Business.
