LUMENERA LAUNCHES NEW SCIENTIFIC DIVISION TO PROVIDE NEXT GENERATION SCIENTIFIC IMAGING SOLUTIONS

New range of digital microscopy cameras are designed for applications where quality high-resolution images are a must

Ottawa, Ontario, Canada - June 16, 2003 - Lumenera Corporation, a leading developer and manufacturer of high performance digital cameras and imaging solutions, today announced that it is launching a new corporate scientific camera division - Lumenera Scientific.

Lumenera Scientific will offer a range of “Infinity” brand cameras as a natural extension of its existing business, which currently focuses on the industrial markets. Infinity cameras will be built to the highest quality standards providing 1.3 through 21 Mpixel resolution, for use with research and clinical microscope applications.

The Infinity line of cameras will provide the first USB 2.0 interface scientific camera in the marketplace. Scientists and researchers will appreciate the ease of connectivity and plug and play capability of this digital USB 2.0 camera line.

Lumenera is pleased to announce that the Infinity line of cameras will be available for purchase as of September 1, 2003. Infinity 1 unit pricing begins at only $1,300 USD.
